It’s a solid production—well-executed, well-written, and well-filmed—but ultimately, it’s a show designed for an American audience to keep them entertained for a bit longer. De Niro delivers a strong performance, the redhead from Breaking Bad does a good job too, and it seems like Angela Basset might not have much else in the pipeline.
The problem is that viewers who have some knowledge of technology (and I believe the show is intended for them) will likely be irritated by a lot of silly details. Hackers running server farms in the middle of New York, people in suits working on computers, high-ranking soldiers typing away like maniacs, a conspiracy-driven narrative filmed with the lights dimmed, and similar clichés.
If you’re into American politics, though, it’s worth a watch
